Is Your Relationship With Money Causing You to Disconnect?

I just attended a 3 day intensive weekend, where 700 people worked on their relationship with money. It was both excruciating and enlightening. The difference between a normal person, and an extremely wealthy person, usually depends on one thing. That is the way they have been taught to feel about money.
Have you found yourself, in a networking situation, wondering why you are not getting business? Are you unsure what your passion and reason for being on the planet is? Is your bank account looking dismal? Chances are, there are subtle things that happened in your past, that are causing you to not live up to your financial potential.
Think about some of the phrases you have heard regarding money in the past. Money is the root of all evil. Money doesn’t grow on trees. We can’t afford it. The list goes on and on. You may have had a wonderful childhood, and never worried much about money, but a small instance, that you may not even remember, is causing you to come up short.
It is important to dig deep to discover what it is that is causing the problem. Think about what makes you angry, sad, depressed and happy when you think about finances. What frustrates you about the process of dealing with money? If you have a partner or spouse, work together to write your thoughts down and express your feelings out loud together. Make sure you have plenty of kleenex, because sometimes even a single word may make you cry. Realize that when you let it out, in tears or by expressing the thought, you are releasing the problem.
Two siblings, growing up in the same exact situation, often have very opposite relationships with money. The problems we create are illusions. How we see something in ourselves, may not be the way others perceive us. For instance, you may think you are stupid when it comes to doing math. In fact, you could have been made to feel like an idiot at one time by someone else, perhaps an insensitive teacher or parent who yelled at you one day. It may have only been one incident or many. Chances are, that particular person was simply having a bad day or had problems that had nothing to do with you at all.
Money is energy. Put your energy into freely creating abundance for yourself and do not zap it, by letting stress and anxiety plug it up.

Hi Rebecca!
This is such an important message. It is one that I share often with my friends, family and clients.
It is so true that we get what we think and feel most about. Whether we think there is not enough money, love, health, happiness, friends, or whatever… If we think scarcity this is what we get.
I’m super excited about a post I found yesterday by Sue Vittner at http://www.suevittner.com She posted something called the 40 Days of Prosperity Program.
I’ve decided to vlog (video blog) about my experience of running through this program for the next 40 days. If you’d like to check it out you can see it here: http://colettekenney.com/kick-start-your-love-life-with-40-days-of-prosperity/
If you like the idea of this 40 day blog please forward the link to your followers. It would be great to viral with this message you and I are both sharing!
Thanks again for such an important and meaningful post!
